Poly-Texx H.O.T. is the newest development in the line of abrasion resistant plastic materials. It is a self-lubricating Bearing Grade UHMW with a High Operating Temperature (H.O.T.). It meets requirements of FDA regulation 21CFR 177.1520, item 2.1 and 2.2, for articles intended for direct food contact usage and regulation 21CFR 178.2010 governing additives and food contact usage. Typical applications include bushings, chain guides, wiping blades and slide plates for the food and industrial applications. Its main attribute is a short term operating temperature of 275 F. The combination of excellent bearing properties, self-lubrication and high operating temperature, makes Poly-Texx H.O.T. a great choice for many demanding applications.
