In this role, you will support new product introduction through the development and documentation of injection molding and secondary processes. You will direct and coordinate production activities for the shift ensuring schedules, customer requirements, company goals and objectives are met. You

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop injection molding processes and document for new products.
  • Coordinate and run trials when necessary
  • Diagnose, analyze, resolve, or direct the performance and resolution of equipment and process problems, reducing downtime and non-conformance.
  • Document data for appropriate reports. Authorize machine shutdown or changes as required.
  • Review specifications, blueprints, and job orders for production efficiency and update in necessary
  • Supervise and instruct molding and secondary operations employees in proper work methods and procedures.
  • Ensure team is producing a quality product to performance standards through motivating and monitoring group.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, company policies and procedures and ensure shift employees are compliant.
  • Coordinate production with Buyer/Planner
  • Support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications / Competencies

  • 3 years’ experience as injection molding process technician
  • Certification in injection molding processing preferred.
  • High degree of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make decisions involving considerable initiative and ingenuity.
  • Computer experience required.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written.
  • 3 years’ experience in supervisory duties.
  • Physically capable of exerting 25 pounds of force.
