As a process engineer, you will lead new product and existing product injection molding processing efforts along with driving continuous improvements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance the company’s value proposition, culture, business as well as the technical aspects of our products and applications.

Our company is located in the corner of Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. We are global supplier of high-performance thermoplastics components offering multiple fabrication solutions. We serve the market for engineering plastics by combining our injection molding and machining expertise with our knowledge of high-performance polymers and applications. In doing so, we provide our customers with a variety of options as they push the envelope of innovation and part design in their respective industries.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate new product introduction activities
  • Develop robust processes using scientific molding that allow for consistent, repeatable production
  • Validate new molds to ensure capable tooling and processes
  • Document process instructions, work instructions, shop routers/travelers, and BOM’s
  • Identify and resolve technical tooling and processing problems and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Analyze production data to identify areas of opportunity and drive continuous improvement and process optimization
  • Perform and analyze FAI’s and PPAP’s using quality measurement equipment to ensure product meets required specification
  • Maintain engineering records

Qualifications / Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • Minimum of 5 years of hand-on injection molding processing and troubleshooting experience required
  • Proficient in Scientific Molding
  • Knowledge of and experience with reading engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, inspection, and quality control methods
  • Strong problem-solving skills with proven experience in implementation of resolutions
  • Self-motivated, action oriented with a drive for results
  • Experience working in AS9100/ISP9001 quality system
  • Solidworks and Moldex analysis experience a plus
